Kos Island International Airport “Hippocrates” is an airport serving the island of Kos, Greece and is situated close to the village of Antimahia, 22km to the west of the town of Kos.  The airport has two terminals and operates daily flights to and from Athens as well as regular flights to Rhodes.  All other Greek airports can be reached only by transfer from Athens Airport. If you are going to Kos make sure you book your Car Hire Kos Airport in advance as there are only a limited amount of hire vehicles on the Island and they get fully booked during the busy summer months.

The airport has parking spaces for 100 cars. Taxis and car hire is readily available at the airport and we represent all major car rental Kos suppliers. KTEL local buses provide transport to the town of Kos and Kardhamena, Kefalos and Mastihari. Olympic Airways’ buses operate between the airport and the city to connect with the airline’s departure and arrival times.

Facilities at the airport include a medical centre, a police station, a café and duty free shopping.  Basic facilities are available for disabled travellers.

No hotels are actually situated at the airport but the Seagull’s Bay Hotel is located 5km from the airport.
Kos is the third largest island of the Dodecanese archipelago and is rich in history, notably for being the birthplace of Hippocrates, the first medical doctor in the world.  The island has stunning beaches and the moderately flat surface of the island has made the bicycle a very popular form of transport.  Kos also has a marina and two water parks.
