Cardiff International Airport serves Wales and the popular destinations of Glamorgan, Carmarthen and Pembrokeshire.  The airport is approx. 19km west of Cardiff and 16km from junction 33 of the M4motorway.    The airport is well signposted along the A4232, A4050 and A4226 roads.  It is also close to Rhoose in the Vale of Glamorgan. The postcode for satellite navigation systems is CF62 3BD.  

Trains operate every hour between Cardiff Central Station and Rhoose Cardiff International Station.  A free shuttle bus service operates between Rhoose station and the airport.   Bus service X91 also provides a weekly hourly bus service between Cardiff Central Station and the airport.  The bus service is every 2 hours on Sundays and Bank Holidays.   Cheap car hire and taxis are also readily available at the airport.

Convenient drop-off of passengers is available outside the terminal building of the airport,   When picking up passengers from the airport this can be done in the short stay car park.   There is no charge for the first 20 minutes of parking in the short stay car park for those wishing to meet and pick up passengers who have just arrived at the airport.  Long term and business parking is also available at the airport and specially designated parking spaces are available for disabled people in both the short-term and long-term car parks.

 The information and help desks are situated on the first floor of the terminal building.  The airport has excellent facilities including Bureau de change, a wide selection of catering establishments, shopping and duty free and a Baby care room.   Disabled travellers are well catered for and the airport strives to make accessibility as good as possible.  Wheelchairs are available for disabled travellers throughout the terminal building.

For travellers requiring overnight accommodation the Holiday Inn Express hotel is situated adjacent to the airport terminal and shuttle transfers are available on request. Wales has many towns well worth exploring together with beautiful scenery and heritage coastal resorts. Cardiff itself is well worth a visit and boasts The Millennium Stadium, Cardiff Castle, the National Assembly for Wales, the Wales Millennium Centre and the Cardiff barrage.   St Davids Hall and the Cardiff International Arena are the venues for concerts, often featuring world renowned artists.  The seaside resort of Barry is approx. 6km from the airport..
