Bristol Airport  Information

Bristol International Airport serves the West country of England and popular destinations from the airport include Bath, Weston-super-Mare, Devon and Cornwall.

The airport is situated 13km from Bristol city centre and is served by the A38 road.   Junctions 18 and 22 are signposted to the airport on the M5 motorway.   If travelling from London on the M4 motorway leave at junction 19 and then take the M32 to central Bristol.   The route to the airport/A38 is then well signposted.
The airport has one terminal and in excess of 4million passengers use this terminal every year. The terminal facilities are spread over two floors and the check in desks and arrivals are situated on the ground floor.  Departures and other airport facilities are situated on the upper floor.

The airport has a good transport connection to Bristol via the Bristol International Flyer bus service.   This bus calls at Bristol Bus station, Bristol Temple Meads railway station and the suburban area of Clifton.  The journal to the city centre takes approx. 30 minutes.  Taxis and cheap car hire is also readily available at the airport.

The airport has a wide choice of car parks including a passenger pick up point within 100 metres of the terminal, short stay parking, special assistance parking, a business car park and a long stay car park..
There is a good selection of restaurants, Bureau de change, Baby care and Disabled persons facilities.   Cash dispensers and services for the Business traveller are also available together with shopping and duty free facilities.

There are several hotels in close proximity to the airport for those passengers requiring overnight accommodation. The West country is a very scenic area and Bristol itself has many places of interest to explore such as Isambard Brunel’s Bristol Temple Meads Station and the Clifton Suspension Bridge.

The seaside resorts of Clevedon and Weston-super-Mare are only a short drive from the airport and the Regency city of Bath is a very popular tourist attraction.  Bristol also has an excellent zoo and a visit to the recently built Cabot Circus shopping Mall in the city Broadmead area is a must for shoppers.
