Manchester airport is a major airport in Greater Manchester, England and is situated approx. a 20 minute drive from centre of Manchester.   The airport serves the Greater Manchester area and North West England.  The airport has three passenger terminals and provides regular direct flights to many destinations worldwide by 84 airlines.  The low cost airlines Flybe, bmibaby, bmi and EasyJet operate from Terminal 3.

The airport has a dedicated link road from the junction 5 of the M56 motorway.  Directions to the terminals are all well signposted from the approach roads with colour-coded cubes pointing out the best route to each terminal and its car parks. 
 
Manchester Airport railway station is in the centre of the airport complex and Skylink connects the three terminals to the upper level of the railway station.  There are regular connections from Manchester Piccadilly and Preston to the airport.  Six trains run each hour during the day between the airport and Manchester Piccadilly.  On Sundays four trains per hour are operated.  Night services are less frequent.    National Express operates an extensive range of excellent coach services to and from Manchester Airport covering the whole of the UK.
