Blackpool International Airport is situated in Squires Gate Lane, Blackpool, on the Fyfe coast, Lancashire in North West England and if looking to rent a car then Blackpool Airport Car Hire is an excellent place from which to collect.   The airport is approx. 5km South East of the town of Blackpool in England. A dual carriageway connects Blackpool Airport to a network of motorways.  Leave the M55 motorway at junction 4 and then follow the A5230, turning left at the first roundabout.
Local buses are available at the entrance to the airport.  National Express Coach Services operate services to and from Blackpool throughout the year and travel is available from all the foremost cities in the UK.  Tram services are available from the Starr Gate terminus on the Blackpool tramway.  This tramway runs along the promenade northward to Bispham, Cleveleys and Fleetwood.

Squires Gate Railway Station is only a 5 minute walk to the airport passenger terminal.  Services connect with the rail network via Preston.
The airport has a Pay to Park car park for the dropping off and picking up of visitors.  All international passengers should park in either Passenger Car Park P1 or Passenger Car Park P2.  Free parking is available at these car parks for up to 15 days for all passengers travelling through Blackpool airport.

Cheap car hire and taxis are readily available at the airport. Two lounges provide comfortable seating in the terminal and there is also a children’s play area in the departure lounge.  A Bureau de Change and ATM is adjacent to the Information Desk.  Eating facilities are good and there is a Horizons Café and Bar outlet near to the check in concourse and also in the departure lounge.  Facilities are available for every flight. There is also a shop which sells books, newspapers, soft drinks and pharmaceutical items.   A boutique duty free shop can be found in the departure lounge.  A VIP lounge is available for business travellers.  Disabled facilities are good as the airport is on one level and very accessible.  Wheelchairs are available.

Numerous hotels can be found in the airport vicinity.  Blackpool is a popular British seaside resort and is famous for its beachfront Golden Mile and its Pleasure Beach.  Other local attractions include Blackpool Tower, Louis Tussauds Waxworks and the Blackpool Zoo Park, be sure to visit them all with Car Rental Blackpool.
