Jeddah Airport Information
Jeddah Airport is the third biggest in Saudi Arabia and is properly called King Abdulaziz International Airport. There are direct flights to Jeddah Airport from the UK’s London Heathrow Airport with BA and Saudia, the national carrier. As with many Saudi airports, it’s some distance from the city but the journey of around twelve miles is easily covered in less than thirty minutes by hire car.
Jeddah is a fabulous place to spend a week or so on a holiday as it’s a more laid back city which turns a blind eye to some of the stricter values of the country. There are lovely little beach resorts where you don’t have to cover all and some of the bars there serve alcohol to foreign travellers.

Elsewhere, diving is to be recommended with unspoilt reefs just offshore crying out to be explored. Many dive companies locally will take you down for a very reasonable price.
