Car Hire Kittila Airport

Kittila is a great destination for winter sports enthusiasts and if you intend to make the most of the range of activities there, you may want to consider pre-booking a hire car you can collect from Kittila Airport for your stay. You may be wondering at the safety and viability of hiring a car when you’ll have to drive tit in snowy conditions but you can rest assured on two counts. Unlike the UK, the Finnish authorities maintain a clear road system in winter and at Any Airport Car Hire we can equip your car with winter tyres and supply snow chains should you be caught out when a snowstorm hits.

Cheap Car Rental Kittila KTT

We have a wide range of cars for you to choose from and if you’re going to Kittila in summer, a standard car with air conditioning will usually suffice but in winter you’d do best to choose from our range of 4 x 4 cars where we can also equip them with a ski rack should you have brought your own skis with you. Our prices for car hire at Kittila Airport are surprisingly low and we believe you won’t find a better deal for the package we offer. Feel free to try the other car hire companies but we’ll have already checked to make sure our price for the standard of service we offer can’t be beaten.

Kittila Airport Guide

Kittila Airport is one of the major airports within the Arctic Circle and saw over 200,000 passengers use its facilities last year. It’s only a couple of miles outside of Kittila and with a good road into the city. There are several seasonal flights into Kittila from across Europe with two from the UK with Monarch flying from Gatwick and Manchester Airports. Elsewhere there are flights from Amsterdam, Paris and Zurich.

Kittila is a primarily winter sports destination having excellent facilities including the Lapin Luontoelamys centre and the Levi Huskie Park where in both you can snow trek, dog sled or cross country ski. Both centres offer guides so should you want to venture further afield you won’t get lost. Fishing folk are also catered for with traditional ice fishing trips available too.

Kittila is also a base for going to see Santa, hence the winter charter flights often being packed with children. With several Santa facilities in Finland, you have a variety to choose from but Kittila’s is one of the better ones.
