Oslo Airport is situated at Gardermoen approx. 48km northeast of the Norwegian capital city of Oslo.  It is the main international airport serving Norway and the airport has one terminal.  A four-lane access road, Hwy 174, connects to Hwy E6 at Jessheim.

The airport has a multi-storey car park with 4,000 spaces and direct access to the terminal.  An outdoor car park (PO) is immediately adjacent to the terminal.  There is also a long-term outdoor ground level car park from which free shuttle buses operate frequently to the terminal building. An Airport Express Train (Flytoget) runs between the airport and Oslo.  The journey takes about 20 minutes and the train stops at Oslo Central and various subway stations.  All inter-city and express trains on the Skien-Oslo-Lillehammer-Trondheim route also stop at Oslo Airport Gardermoen station.  The SAS Airport bus operates between Oslo Airport Gardermoen and Oslo Central Station. The journey time is approx. 40 minutes.  There is also a night service to Oslo Bus Terminal.  There is a bus station for regional bus routes just south of the railway station and within walking distance.

Flybussekspressen is the airport coach which runs to and from Oslo, Baerum, Fredrikstad and Ski and Gjøvik. Facilities at the airport include a bank, ATMs, Bureau de Change, wireless internet and left luggage facility.  The airport has a good selection of restaurants, cafes, snack bars and fast-food outlets.  Duty-free shopping is available in the Departures area and various other shops, including a book store, fashion boutiques and gifts, can be found throughout the airport.  Disabled facilities are good.

The Radisson SAS Airport Hotel is within walking distance of the terminal building and has a conference centre with full business facilities.  Several other hotels are situated close to the airport. Oslo is a beautiful city which is situated at the head of a 110km long fjord and is surrounded by hills and forests..
