Car Hire Cyprus

Low Cost Car Hire Cyprus allows you to explore this Mediterranean island which experiences 340 days of sunshine every year. You’ll be glad to know that all our vehicles in Cyprus come with excellent air conditioning as the island gets very hot during the summer and can be more than 40 degrees Celsius in August. You can pick up your car from either Paphos or Larnaca international airports and make the short drive to wherever you are going. There is no decent public transport in Cyprus so car hire is a must.

Cheap Car Rental Cyprus

Any Airport Car Rental Cyprus comes with free breakdown assistance. The last thing you want to do is be stuck on the side of the motorway in the boiling summer sun.

For those who want to top up their tans there is the option of hiring convertible cars or cars with sun roofs.

There is also an unlimited mileage offer. Cyprus is the third largest island in the Mediterranean and it takes about three and a half hours to drive from one side of the island to the other. Cyprus is divided between north and south due to a conflict in 1973 when Turkey invaded. We only hire cars in the south of the island as the north is not recognised internationally as a country. It is not usually possible to take hire cars across the border but check with our representatives when making a booking.

Cyprus has some high mountains at its centre, the Trodos, which are almost 2,000 metres tall. You may wish to rent a four by four car to tackle the steep and winding roads. The Trodos are beautiful, full of forests and quaint villages and they are also one of the coolest places on the island during the summer. There is snow on the Trodos in winter with some skiing opportunities – you may want to ask for snow tires, ski racks and snow chains with your car. Four wheel drive cars are also a good idea if you are heading to the Akamas Peninsula on the south west coast, a stunning unspoilt wilderness area.

AYIA NAPA

Car Parking is readily available for all car hire Ayia Napa vehicles by the beaches. The main road in Ayia Napa is Nissi Avenue and along here you will find loads of things to do, shops restaurants and bars along with  hotels which have their own tracks down to beautiful quiet and secluded beaches.    Ayia Napa is a very popular place to get married & the choice of venues varies greatly from beautiful Chapels within some hotels and resplendid wedding rooms especially decorated with weddings in mind in the hotels. Take advantage of car hire Ayia Napa to transport your wedding guests.

Ayia Napa also is the home to the largest themed water park in Europe named Waterworld, look out for discount coupons in the local papers to reduce your entry fee. There is a large car park next to Waterworld so you can easily park up your car hire vehicle and walk in.  The theme at Waterworld  is based on Greek Mythology  and is 5 minutes by car from Ayia Napa, 20 mins by car from  Protaras  or even Larnaca is only 30-35 minutes by car hire.

The sand is  fine  but there are rocks in the sea so take care. Ayia Thekla Beach is very easy to  reach by car hire as only a few miles drive along the coast from Ayia Napa.

Nissi Beach

Nissi Beach is probably the most popular beach on the Famagusta coastline.  It attracts all age groups with its shallow and very warm waters, white sand and abundance of watersports including the famous Ayia Napa Bungee Jump and Jet Skis. Paralimni

Once largely dependent on agriculture for their income, the residents of Paralimni have greatly benefited from revenue from tourism which is reflected in the amount of new building in the village.  Paralimni is also a traditional centre for such delicacies such as pieces of smoked pork (pasta) and pork sausage (loonakia).  Visit here with Parlimni Car Hire.
