Nuremberg Airport Guide
Nuremberg Airport is the second busiest airport in Bavaria with over four million passengers using it every year. Located three miles from the centre of Nuremberg, the city is easily accessed. There are many routes to and from Nuremberg with Air Berlin using the airport as a hub. No flights travel there directly from the UK so a connection will be required at Amsterdam, Paris or Frankfurt.
The city is best remembered as the stage for the infamous Nuremberg Trials at the end of the Second World War and even more infamously for the Nuremberg rallies held by the German Nazi party to stir up anti-Semitic feelings.
Today, it has subsided into a peaceful existence with its old town a haven of tranquillity filled with gorgeous buildings including the castle which dominates the view of the old town.
