Car Hire Quimper Airport

Brittany is one of the most popular destinations for travellers to France from the UK. You can of course take the ferry over to Caen, Roscoff or St Malo but more and more people are choosing to fly to airports such as Quimper Airport and hire a car there. You’ll find several benefits by doing this; you’ll have a faster journey to your destination; you won’t be bothered by sea sickness and you’ll be able to drive a left hand drive car in France, safer on their road systems. You may think that it’s an expensive option but with the high cost of ferry travel and the fuel for the journey to and from the ferry port, air travel plus low cost car rental from Any Airport Car Hire becomes an attractive option.

Cheap Car Rental Quimper UIP

Car hire at Quimper Airport is easy to arrange. Once you’ve organised your flight, simply enter the dates into our booking engine. You’ll be given the choice from a wide range of available vehicles and all at low prices. For most people, a standard hire car should be sufficient for driving around Brittany and the size will depend on the number of people travelling. If you want to, you can upgrade to a more luxurious car to tour in style but whichever vehicle you decide upon, you’ll be assured that it will be at the lowest price for the quality of vehicle, standard of insurance cover and customer service we offer.

Quimper Airport Guide

Quimper Airport’s full name is Quimper-Cornouaille Airport and is only five miles south west from the centre of Quimper. The airport is small but still has international flights from London City Airport with BA CityFlyer and Figari with Brit Air. There’s also a domestic flight from Paris, also with Brit Air.

Quimper is more of a relaxing destination than an exciting one. There are pretty medieval streets and the town is built at the confluence of two rivers as the translation of the Breton name suggests. The main attraction is the cathedral which has a stunning interior but there are several more churches of note in the town.

Outside Quimper, the coastline is definitely worth exploring and is very photogenic. You can probably drive the whole coastline in an extended day and dine out on the local freshly caught seafood prepared in the traditional Breton style. If fish doesn’t take your fancy, try the local speciality – crepes, which come with a huge range of savoury or sweet fillings.
