Louisville International Airport is 10km south of Louisville in Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States.  The airport has one terminal and is conveniently located at the intersection of  I-65 and I-264.

The airport has a covered parking area and a remote car park which is ideal for long-tem parking.  Free shuttle buses run from the remote car park to the terminal building.  Valet parking is also available.

Hotels located near to the airport include the Econo Lodge, Executive Inn Hotel, Holiday Inn Airport South and Sleep Inn & Suites Airport.  Louisville hosts many annual cultural events.  The renowned Kentucky Derby is held each year during the first Saturday of May and is preceded by a two-week long Kentucky Derby Festival.  The Bluegrass Balloon Festival is held during September.

The city has many museums and the Louisville Science Center and the Muhammad Ali Center are popular attraction together with the historic Belle of Louisville which is the oldest Mississippi-style steamboat in operation in the United States.  The Louisville Waterfront Park is situated on the banks of the Ohio River and has large spacious lawns and walking areas.
