Nelspruit Airport no longer takes commercial flights as all these now use Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. Nelspruit now only services general aviation but there are plenty of private charters that land at Nelspruit. Travellers from outside of South Africa would need to fly into Kruger Mpumalanga Airport or connect from a major airport such as Cape Town or Johannesburg.
The airport is around six miles from Nelspruit’s centre and with there being no regular taxis or bus service, you’ll need to have arranged a hire car or you may be stuck at the airport.
