The Netherlands Antilles are made up of six islands divided into two groups; the Lesser Antilles, which include the ABC Islands of Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao, and the Leeward Islands of Saba, Sint Eustatius and Sint Maarten.

All of these islands have airports and we can supply you with pre-booked hire car at any of them so they’ll be available as soon as you arrive. Don’t waste your time searching other car hire companies for car hire in the Netherlands Antilles for we’ve already done that, finding the lowest prices for the best quality cars from locations such as car hire Aruba Airport or car hire Sint Maarten. You can book them quickly and easily online with just the minimum of administration to complete when you arrive.

Aruba is the most popular island and has direct flights from the UK to Aruba Airport. We supply the best value car hire at Aruba Airport which you can use to get to the Arikok National Park where you’ll see the geological formation of the island. The Guadiki Caves are nearby, gouged from the limestone rock by millions of years of rain and wind. The capital, Oranjestad is very pretty; the streets lined with traditional wooden fronted Dutch houses whilst the shopping there is extensive (and sometimes expensive), catering for the cruise ships that dock there regularly.

Bonaire is lesser known but still has its own international airport with flights from Amsterdam. Again, car hire from Bonaire Airport is essential if you want to get off the beaches and see some of this flat island with its abundant wildlife and dazzling salt flats.

In many ways, Curacao is a more interesting destination than its more popular neighbour, Aruba. Pick up a pre-booked hire car from Hato Airport and begin by exploring the capital Willemstad which has many excellent museums including one documenting the plight of slaves after their arrival on the island. There’s also an interesting Postal Museum and Maritime Museum with links once more to the slave trade.

Outside the capital you can reach the Christoffel and Shete Boka National Parks which, whilst low on animals (there are turtle breeding grounds though), have wonderful vistas and interesting geological formations.

The main attraction of the Leeward Islands is the island of Sint Maarten, or Saint Martin as the French side is known. Split roughly 50/50 between the French and Dutch, the island is served by Princess Juliana International Airport from where you can collect a hire car to explore both sides of the island.
